Fresh watermelon-mint fizz—this drink is one of the favourites in my home. I love to do experiments in cooking, and that’s why my funda is—cooking is food engineering.

My son loves cold drinks; you can relate to me if your child is fond of junk foods and beverages. Although I don’t have a great passion for cooking, but my son is a foodie, he loves variations in food, so for him, I do all that I can do. Juices are healthy, so being a mother during the summer season, I used to give him watermelon juice frequently. Then I realized he is getting bored with this plain salt-pepper sprinkled watermelon juice. We all know Necessity is the mother of invention, I too tried something different with watermelon and then I came up with this delicious drink. It brought a lot of joy to me when I saw him enjoying this new drink—watermelon-mint fizz. Now, in my family, everyone loves it. I am sure many of you already make this but who haven’t tried this mocktail yet, give it a shot.

Fresh Watermelon-Mint Fizz

Watermelon is a healthy low-calorie fruit. Watermelon juice is healthy and good for our kidneys and eyes. It has 90% water content; therefore, you don’t need to worry about calories, and the presence of water makes watermelon a hydrating fruit which also helps you to feel full. It also contains fiber which is an added health benefit when it comes to digestion. Let’s make watermelon tastier with this fresh watermelon-mint fizz.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups seedless watermelon, cubed.
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • 6 sprigs fresh mint
  • 1 lime
  • 4 tbsp powdered sugar
  • salt to taste
  • 1 cup of soda water
  • Serves- 3

For Serving

  • Crushed ice
  • Watermelon slices for garnish
  • Mint leaves

Preparation

  • Blend the watermelon, sugar, salt, mint leaves and crushed ice in a mixer jar.
  • Add crushed ice to your glasses.
  • Add lemon six drops of lemon juice in each glass.
  • Pour the blended watermelon juice in each glass.
  • Top with soda water.
  • Garnish as with mint leaves and watermelon slices.
